| Description |
We studied the conditions of reliable operation of a mode-locked fiber laser. First, in the developed laser design can be used, by one of the fibers or activated with erbium or ytterbium, or neodymium. In this case, the central wavelength and width of the gain spectrum will be determined by the active material used. Secondly, for pumping fiber laser using semiconductor lasers, the power which must be not less than 250 mW. The third condition is that mode locking was achieved by controlling the plane of olarization of the generated modes by external polarization elements.
